The AudioControl ACR-1 is a wired remote dashboard controller designed to give you tactile, "on-the-fly" control over your audio system's output. While its primary role is as a remote level control (allowing you to turn your subwoofer volume up or down independently of the main head unit), its specific function depends on the device it's plugged into. For instance, when paired with the Epicenter, the ACR-1 controls the "Bass Restoration" effect, whereas, with an LC2i, it acts as a master volume for the sub-channel. It is built to be surface-mounted or custom-installed into the dash, connecting via a cable so you don't have to reach for your trunk or dive into head unit menus to adjust your bass.

-
The Load Generating Device (LGD) is designed for modern factory (OEM) sound systems that feature protection circuits. These systems may mute or distort audio if they do not detect a specific speaker load when factory speakers are removed.
-
It is installed between the factory speaker outputs and your line output converter (LOC) or the speaker-level inputs of your aftermarket amplifier.
-
Only the PRO Series LCi line out converters have LGD's built into them. All other products DO NOT have LGD's internal to them.
A lot of newer vehicles factory systems MUST see a resistance on the outputs in order to work properly.
If they don’t see a resistance, there are a number of different ways the system may react.
The most common is that it will not output any signal at all. Or, it may output distorted signals, or will send random noise to specific channels. The worst case scenario is that the amp will see no resistance at all and it will just send all of its power out all at once, which typically results in burning up your after market amp.
The work around for this is to put resistors on the inputs of the line converter.
Our LC1i and LC2i PRO line converters have our load generating technology built in.
